Track 1: MSc in Innovation and Entrepreneurship
This comprehensive 24-month program helps you master skills in business development, innovation, and venture creation through hands-on learning like pitch training, business games and a thesis.
Designed for professionals with at least two years of work experience, this program is ideal for those who want to start their own business or advance innovation within any organization.
Track 2: Executive MSc in Innovation and Entrepreneurship
This streamlined 18-month program helps experienced leaders master innovative leadership and project management skills, preparing you to launch a major venture or transform your career.
Designed for senior professionals with at least eight years of post-bachelor work experience (including managerial experience), it equips experienced entrepreneurs and leaders to launch new ventures or take their careers in a new direction with broader expertise.

Frequently asked questions
Which track is right for me: the MSc or the Executive MSc?
The standard MSc is designed for professionals with at least two years of work experience who want broader development in innovation, business development, and venture creation. The Executive MSc is a shorter pathway designed for more senior professionals with at least eight years of post-bachelor work experience, including managerial experience, who want to accelerate learning based on prior professional experience.
Is this degree accredited?
Yes. HEC Paris is fully recognised by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research and holds triple international accreditation from AMBA, EQUIS, and AACSB. The Executive Master’s in Innovation and Entrepreneurship is a BAC+5 level (European level I/EQF 7) qualification and has been awarded a Visa by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research via the CEFDG (Commission d'Évaluation des Formations et Diplômes de Gestion), with accreditation extended until August 2029.
The official title of this degree program is: “Diplôme en Innovation et Entrepreneuriat”. Any employer or institution who contacts us on your behalf will receive an official confirmation by our institution, stating that you have completed an MSc degree in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at HEC Paris, with 120 ECTS credits.
What are the entry requirements for the MSc and Executive MSc tracks?
The MSc track requires a bachelor’s degree, at least two years of work experience, English proficiency, and a potential project idea. The Executive MSc requires a bachelor’s degree, at least eight years of work experience including some senior or management experience, English proficiency, and a potential project idea. GMAT or GRE scores are recommended but not mandatory for both tracks.
What options do I have if I do not meet the admission requirements?
The University Certificate programs may still be a good fit for you as they provide foundational knowledge and are open for anyone to enroll, without entry requirements: Innovation Management & Entrepreneurship or Leading Innovation With Creativity. Strong performance in the certificate may count towards certain eligibility requirements in the admission process.
However, please note that completing the University certificates does not guarantee admission into the degree program. All applications will be reviewed case-by-case by the admissions committee of HEC Paris.
Will I learn from the same faculty as on-campus students?
Yes. The degree courses are taught by the same HEC Paris faculty who teach in the school’s on-campus programs.
Can online students attend graduation?
Yes. Students are invited to attend the annual graduation ceremony on the HEC Paris campus and celebrate in person with other graduates and guests.
How long does the program take if I am working while studying?
The programs are designed for working professionals. The MSc pathway is structured as a 24-month program, while the Executive MSc is designed to be completed in 18 months. The overall study commitment is about 20 hours per week across 20 courses.
Can university certificate courses count toward the degree?
Yes. The University Certificates (Innovation Management & Entrepreneurship or Leading Innovation With Creativity can be used to build toward the MSc or Executive MSc if you are later admitted to the program. Recognised learning may count toward degree requirements, subject to eligibility and enrolment.
What are the English proficiency requirements?
All tuition and course materials are delivered in English, and applicants are expected to be fully proficient in English. There is no separate English proficiency test in the admission process.
What does the program cost, and how do payments work?
