David Hendrickson, Ph.D.
Director, Genomics
With responsibility for Genomics, Dave harnesses next-generation sequencing methods and single cell technology to address fundamental questions pertaining to the biology of aging, from yeast to humans. He and his team design and implement cutting-edge genomic tools when existing technologies prove lacking.
About
From microRNAs to repetitive elements, or microarrays to deep sequencing, Dave has always gravitated towards both the biology and technology surrounding nucleic acids. His world-class Genomics Lab is outfitted with the latest in nucleic acid technology.
As a postdoc at Harvard University, Dave developed and applied next-generation sequencing methods to study regulatory non-coding RNAs and protein-RNA interactions of chromatin binding proteins. Prior to his time in Boston, he trained under Jim Ferrell and Pat Brown as a graduate student at Stanford University, studying the regulation of gene expression by microRNAs at a systems level.
