Jeremy Willsey, Ph.D.
Director, Translational Data Science
Jeremy translates multidimensional datasets into actionable insights about the biology underlying aging and age-related diseases.
About
Jeremy leads Calico’s Translational Data Science team with an emphasis on generating tractable biological insights through innovative and integrative analyses of ’Omics datasets. His group works at the interface of our discovery, translational, and clinical research programs to inform and expand our drug development pipeline.
Prior to Calico, Jeremy was at the University of California, San Francisco where he was an Associate Professor, co-director and co-founder of the Psychiatric Cell Map Initiative, and co-leader of several international psychiatric genetics consortia. At UCSF, Jeremy’s work focused on the identification of large effect risk genes for multiple psychiatric disorders and the subsequent translation of these findings into tangible insights about etiology and hypotheses for therapeutic interventions.
