Since our inception in 2012, we’ve logged over 1M residential deliveries, continuously innovating to refine our technology and expand our operations.
2012Wing started in the labs of Google
Wing was founded as a project in the labs at X,  Alphabet's Moonshot Factory.
2019Wing earns first FAA approval for drone delivery
The FAA grants Wing a first-of-its-kind Part 135 Air Carrier Certificate for drone operations, clearing the way for America’s first commercial drone delivery service and setting the bar for safety standards.
2019Wing launches drone delivery in the US
With FAA approval in hand, Wing begins operation as America’s first ever commercial drone delivery service to homes.
2022Wing launches in first major US metro
Launching in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area marks the first use of drone delivery in a major US metro.
2024Wing expands with Walmart and DoorDash
Wing strengthens partnerships with Walmart and DoorDash, expanding its delivery network and bringing fast, convenient service to more people.
2025Wing announces 100 new sites
Wing and Walmart announced the largest expansion in drone delivery history, with plans to bring the service to 100 Walmart stores to consumers across five major cities.
2026Wing continues building the nation's largest drone delivery network
Wing announced expanding to nearly 20 U.S. metros creating a network of 270+ Walmart stores to support coast-to-coast U.S. scale.
