The better we understand the crop we're harvesting, the better we can preserve its value from field to digester. That's why our forage harvester is fitted with Near Infrared (NIR) sensors, analysing the crop in real time and measuring dry matter, protein, sugar and starch 200 times every second. That information isn't just collected, it's used immediately. We adjust silage additives on the go, matching application rates to the crop in front of us to help preserve quality while using inputs only where they're needed. Combined with yield monitoring and GPS, the system also maps crop performance across every field, giving us better insight into both agronomic performance and renewable energy potential. For us, farming differently means making better decisions with better data, reducing waste, improving efficiency and producing more renewable energy from every hectare. #sustainablefarming #poweredbydysonfarming #farmingdifferently 59 4 Comments Like Comment Share Dyson Farming 28,091 followers 6d Report this post Can a crop contribute to both soil health and renewable energy production? Vetch is a valuable part of the answer. Used within rotations alongside crops such as barley, wheat, oilseed rape and forage crops, vetch helps maintain soil fertility through its ability to fix atmospheric nitrogen. This supports the crops that follow, improves nutrient cycling and helps build a more resilient farming system. But its value doesn't stop there. When included in forage crop mixes destined for anaerobic digestion, vetch contributes additional biomass and helps make feedstock production more sustainable. By naturally introducing nitrogen into the rotation, it creates a system where food production, soil stewardship and renewable energy generation work together rather than compete for resources. An additional benefit is harvest management. Vetch helps keep dry matter levels lower for longer, allowing the harvest window to be phased more effectively. This gives growers greater flexibility, helps avoid bottlenecks at harvest and can support more consistent feedstock quality for anaerobic digestion. Farming differently means looking beyond the harvest in front of us and considering how every crop can deliver multiple benefits. By improving soil health, supporting future yields, providing greater harvest flexibility and helping generate renewable energy, vetch demonstrates how one crop can strengthen the sustainability and resilience of the whole farming system. 48 3 Comments Like Comment Share Dyson Farming 28,091 followers 1w Report this post What makes our strawberries different? Great strawberries don't happen by chance. They're the result of continuous research, data and innovation. Over the last year, we've trialled 27 different strawberry varieties in our commercial glasshouse, searching for the next premium berry. Every variety is assessed using detailed performance data alongside expert taste testing. We measure sweetness using Brix readings, monitor berry size and weight, track cropping patterns and assess resilience to pests and diseases. We also compare flavour, texture and appearance to understand what really makes a great strawberry. Sweetness is influenced by a variety's genetics, as well as the growing environment, including light and temperature. By combining data with the expertise of our growing team, we can identify the varieties that consistently deliver exceptional fruit. Like any natural product, no two strawberries are exactly the same. You'll see variation between plants, varieties and even from season to season. That's not a flaw – it's a sign that our strawberries are grown by nature, not manufactured. While every berry is unique, our research and growing expertise help ensure they consistently deliver the quality and flavour we're known for. For us, farming differently means making evidence-based decisions that improve quality from the very beginning. It's how we're growing strawberries that don't just look good – they taste great too. 72 Like Comment Share Dyson Farming 28,091 followers 1mo Report this post A big thank you to everyone who visited our stand at the Lincolnshire Show this week. When we drill maize, we’re not just planting a seed. We’re placing the start of our circular system into the soil, with precision and purpose. Depth, spacing, soil conditions and timing all matter — because establishment sets the tone for everything that follows. Maize sits within a wider rotation designed to produce both food and energy, while supporting soil health. By planning carefully between crops, we protect structure, manage nutrients more efficiently, and reduce the need for additional inputs over time. It’s about giving the crop what it needs from the start, rather than correcting later. Once grown, that maize feeds our anaerobic digestion system — fuelling the production of renewable energy and fertiliser, closing the loop back into the farm. As a business, it’s about connecting every stage: soil, crop, energy and back again. That’s farming differently — drilling with purpose, not just planting a crop. #FoodProduction #arablefarming #SustainableAgriculture #Agriculture #renewableenergy #sustainablefarming #farmingdifferently 34 Like Comment Share Join now to see what you are missing Find people you know at Dyson Farming Browse recommended jobs for you View all updates, news, and articles Join now Similar pages Dyson Farming Research Farming Dyson Appliances, Electrical, and Electronics Manufacturing Dogtooth Technologies Automation Machinery Manufacturing Royston, Hertfordshire Agrii Farming Frontier Agriculture Farming AHDB - Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board Farming Coventry, Warwickshire Hutchinsons Farming Dyson Farming Leisure Recreational Facilities NFU (National Farmers' Union) Farming Stoneleigh, Warwickshire Agrovista UK Ltd Farming Nottingham, Nottinghamshire Show more similar pages Show fewer similar pages Browse jobs Engineer jobs 79,088 open jobs Scientist jobs 4,117 open jobs Senior Finance Manager jobs 5,987 open jobs Commercial Controller jobs 5,639 open jobs Technologist jobs 18,260 open jobs Software Tester jobs 966 open jobs Chemist jobs 3,183 open jobs Quality Engineer jobs 14,452 open jobs Video Editor jobs 719 open jobs Presales Manager jobs 5,356 open jobs Environmental Engineer jobs 3,766 open jobs Buying Director jobs 345 open jobs Director jobs 156,873 open jobs Financial Controller jobs 13,256 open jobs Project Manager jobs 33,848 open jobs Mechanical Engineer jobs 8,806 open jobs Recruiter jobs 20,136 open jobs Preconstruction Manager jobs 2,110 open jobs Design Engineer jobs 17,242 open jobs Analyst jobs 63,799 open jobs Show more jobs like this Show fewer jobs like this More searches More searches Financial Controller jobs Engineering Manager jobs Freight Manager jobs Health And Safety Manager jobs Environmental Manager jobs Head of Accounting jobs Director of Recruiting jobs Finance Business Partner jobs Senior Finance Manager jobs Commercial Finance Manager jobs Audit Manager jobs Director jobs Engineer jobs Chief Financial Officer jobs Technologist jobs Food Technologist jobs Director Automotive jobs Area Business Manager jobs Marketing Specialist jobs Director of Customer Service jobs Human Resources Manager jobs Controller jobs Marketing Executive jobs Director of Operations jobs Business Development Specialist jobs Research And Development Manager jobs Public Relations Specialist jobs Design Engineer jobs Design Manager jobs Analyst jobs Senior Director of Marketing jobs Finance Specialist jobs Recruitment Officer jobs National Sales Manager jobs Recruitment Specialist jobs Communications Manager jobs Corporate Development Manager jobs Mechanical Engineer jobs Financial Planning and Analysis Manager jobs Biologist jobs Financial Accountant jobs Finance Officer jobs Scientist jobs Sustainability Consultant jobs Developer jobs Project Manager jobs Marketing Assistant jobs Head of Marketing jobs Account Executive jobs Embedded Software Engineer jobs Software Engineer jobs Agronomist jobs Credit Controller jobs Sales Engineer jobs Director of Information Technology jobs Information Technology Manager jobs Associate Director jobs Recruiter jobs Sustainability Analyst jobs Head of Information Technology jobs LinkedIn © 2026 About Accessibility User Agreement Privacy Policy Your California Privacy Choices Cookie Policy Copyright Policy Brand Policy Guest Controls Community Guidelines (Chinese (Traditional)) Language Agree & Join LinkedIn By clicking Continue to join or sign in, you agree to LinkedIn’s User Agreement, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy.
