It should feel accessible. Recent media discussions have highlighted comparisons between investment-linked policies (ILPs) and CPF LIFE, as well as the use of the term “capital guaranteed” in relation to ILPs.   At Etiqa Insurance Singapore, our position is clear. ILPs are not capital guaranteed products, and comparisons with CPF LIFE are not appropriate. CPF LIFE is a national annuity scheme providing lifelong retirement income, while ILPs are market-linked insurance products that combine protection with investment exposure. These are fundamentally different solutions designed for different financial needs, time horizons and risk profiles.   We would like to emphasise that Etiqa’s official sales and marketing materials do not contain such representations or comparisons, and we have reminded our financial representatives to communicate product features, risks and limitations clearly and responsibly.   We fully support the authorities in upholding high standards of fair and responsible communication, and remain committed to helping customers make informed financial decisions.
