Jawad Abdulsamad joins Expo 2030 Riyadh as Chief Strategy and Integration Officer. In this role, he will lead strategy and integration across multiple workstreams and stakeholders, including key strategic topics such as legacy, themes and programming, and visitor experience.   Jawad brings over 18 years of experience in strategy, transformation, and organizational leadership across the public and private sectors. Prior to joining Expo 2030 Riyadh, he served as Chief Strategy Officer at Misk Foundation, where he led enterprise strategy, transformation, and strategic planning across the Foundation and its portfolio entities spanning sectors including real estate, museums and culture, film production, and K- 12 education.   Earlier in his career, Jawad held senior roles in top-tier strategy consulting, advising government entities, sovereign investors, and leading private sector organizations on strategy, giga-projects, and national-scale investment programs.   Jawad's expertise will play an important role in advancing Expo 2030 Riyadh's strategic direction and strengthening its long-term impact and legacy. His appointment reflects Expo 2030 Riyadh's commitment to bringing together exceptional talent to deliver a world-class Expo that creates lasting economic, social, and cultural value.

Expo 2030 Riyadh and EXPO 2027 Belgrade have signed a Cooperation Agreement to establish a Structured Knowledge Transfer and Observer Program. Through site visits, observational programs, workshops, and expert exchanges, the agreement will create opportunities for the organizers of World Expo 2030 Riyadh and Specialized Expo 2027 Belgrade to share experiences, insights, and best practices across planning, operational readiness, live event delivery, and legacy development, contributing to the collective success and long-term legacy of World and Specialized Expos. As delivery progresses steadily and construction on the Expo 2030 Riyadh site advances, this partnership will enable knowledge exchange, strengthen capabilities and support preparations for an unprecedented World Expo in Riyadh. A major milestone in preparations for Expo 2030 Riyadh was reached today with the approval of the SEE Agreement at the 178th General Assembly of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) in Paris. Establishing the legal framework for official participation, the agreement strengthens the institutional and organizational foundations for hosting the World Expo and deepens cooperation with the BIE and participating countries.    This milestone comes as preparations advance across the Expo’s theme, masterplan, site works, design, infrastructure, and operational readiness, reflecting growing international confidence in Saudi Arabia’s vision and organizational capabilities. A strategic site visit brought together senior leadership from Expo 2030 Riyadh and delivery partners including Nesma & Partners, Binya, Abyatouna, and AlYamama to review construction progress, operational priorities and upcoming development milestones across the site. The visit highlighted the scale and pace of works currently underway, and reinforced coordination across contractors and stakeholders. It also underscored a continued focus on operational excellence and site safety as preparations continue toward delivering a world-class World Expo and a lasting legacy for Riyadh and future generations.

The Expo 2030 Riyadh Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Mulham Al-Bakree as Chief of Stakeholder Management. In this role, Mulham will oversee Expo 2030 Riyadh’s international participants engagement and strategic stakeholder management agenda, strengthening relationships with governments, institutions, official delegations, and strategic partners.   Mulham brings extensive leadership experience in stakeholder management, government-to-government engagement, and international relations, with a distinguished track record in managing strategic national priorities, fostering high-impact partnerships, and navigating complex stakeholder ecosystems across local and global platforms.   Prior to joining Expo 2030 Riyadh Company, Mulham served as Head of Stakeholder Management at the Public Investment Fund, where he led strategic engagement across diplomatic channels, bilateral relations, and government-to-government partnerships, advancing alignment on high-priority national and international strategic files.   Throughout his career, Mulham has played a key role in supporting the strategic advancement of Saudi Arabia’s giga-project ecosystem, contributing to major national initiatives, and establishing engagement frameworks across government entities, strategic partners, and international stakeholders.   His experience includes managing relationships with international participants and strategic global stakeholders, overseeing high-level engagement frameworks, and enabling coordinated collaboration across official delegations, institutional partners, and executive leadership, critical to advancing large-scale national and international platforms.   His appointment reinforces Expo 2030 Riyadh Company’s commitment to building a strong stakeholder ecosystem, strengthening strategic partnerships, and advancing integrated collaboration in support of delivering an unprecedented World Expo in 2030.
