The only thing I like is the extra emojis and I can like messages but other then that I miss my Samsung messages and now we're stuck with this? I'm not happy at all.. I'm forced to use this feature for messages. Sometimes I have to sure snap chat because Google messages is not responding. I'm frustrated. To do so, open the Play Store app. Search "Google Messages.” Tap Uninstall and then Reinstall or Update. You can also send feedback in the Google Messages app. At the top right, tap Profile picture or Initial and then Help & feedback and then Send feedback. Thanks. It doesn't even show the same font that my phone is set for!!! Can't change bubble colors, can't set background pics, can't have a signature set, can't customize anything, there is a whole lot of can't on this app. Very disappointing. Yes No Weston Birch more_vert Flag inappropriate May 6, 2026 1.) when I had to switch to this SMS service, old messages were deleted after most messages weren't tranferred over. I had texts from deceased relatives so thanks for that. 2.) GIFs take forever to load. Whether on wifi (GFiber) or roaming, GIFs can take 2 minutes to load. 3.) If you are still missing content in Google Messages after switching, update to the latest version of the app and then clear your app data: Please go to Settings > Apps > Messages > Storage > and tap Clear Storage.
