The What Works initiative, led by the Parenting Support Policy Unit (PSPU) in the Department of Children, Disability and Equality and funded through Dormant Accounts, plays a significant role in strengthening capacity, knowledge and quality in prevention and early intervention for children, young people and their families. The launch event, addressed by Minister Foley and a number of excellent guest speakers including past recipients from the fund, highlighted the continued importance of coordinated, early-stage interventions in improving long-term outcomes. Crowe have been engaged by the PSPU to undertake the evaluation of the What Works initiative, focusing on understanding and evidencing the impact it has delivered across the prevention and early intervention sector since 2019. The launch provided a valuable opportunity to gain insight at an early stage of this evaluation process and to engage with stakeholders committed to delivering measurable and lasting impact across communities in Ireland.
