Hewson Cybersecurity Summer Camp Culverhouse Analytics Summit THE MARILLYN A. HEWSON CYBERSECURITY SUMMER CAMP Championing Innovation for a Better Future The Marillyn A. Hewson Cybersecurity Summer Camp is designed to expose area high school students to the world of cybersecurity and inspire students to pursue a career in cybersecurity or other science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. Students can learn the basics of cybersecurity and web infrastructure in the standard camp or take on a more challenging curriculum in the advanced camp. CyberPatriot is the National Youth Cyber Education Program created by the Air Force Association to inspire K-12 students toward careers in cybersecurity or other science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines critical to our nation’s future. At the core of the program is the National Youth Cyber Defense Competition, the nation’s largest cyber defense competition that puts high school and middle school students in charge of securing virtual networks. The Marillyn A. Hewson Cybersecurity Summer Camp will host high 9th to 12th graders for two sessions. Camp 1: June 1 – June 5, 2026 Camp 2: June 8 – June 12, 2026 More Information Projects & Resources Collaboration with Culverhouse Divisions and Faculty includes: Leveraging current research expertise; Research opportunities from cooperation on existing projects; and Assistance with design and implementation of analytic and statistical study plans. Who is eligible? High school students in the Tuscaloosa area who are interested in and passionate about cybersecurity. How much does the program cost? The program is free. How do I register?
