prepare for ACAP Phase 2 implementation on Oct. 6 Test now to prepare for ACAP Phase 2 implementation on Oct. 6 June 3, 2025 What is happening Customer testing of Phase 2 enhancements of the Automated Claim Adjustment Process (ACAP) is available in the depository testing (DIT) environment now. Phase 2 enhancements include expanding security types for fail tracking and expanding transaction types to include securities lending tracking as planned. Take action All Fedwire® Securities Service participants and service providers are recommended to register for testing in the DIT and test the expanded functionality before the testing period ends on Sept. 26. You should test the new codes and reports for your own readiness whether or not you decide to use the expanded functionality starting Oct. 6. Register to test Participants and service providers are required to register for ACAP Phase 2 testing in the DIT by submitting the Fedwire Securities Service Depository Institution Testing (DIT) Application Test Request Form. In Section 2, please select "Regular Testing" in the Testing Type field. In Section 6, provide "ACAP Phase 2" in the comments. For ACAP testing-related questions, contact the Wholesale Testing Services team. Industry information The industry working group on ACAP led by SIFMA is developing a coordinated industry conversion plan for the use of ACAP securities lending tracking and plans to implement their coordinated conversion sometime well after the expanded functionality becomes available on the Fedwire Securities Service. “As the leading trade association for broker-dealers, investment banks and asset managers operating in the U.S. and global capital markets, SIFMA works to advocate for policies and regulations that support robust and efficient capital markets.  SIFMA and our members appreciate the value of the existing and expanded ACAP services offered by the Fedwire Securities Service.  While Fedwire will be activating this new capability in October of this year, we are currently helping coordinate an industry-wide conversion to the expanded Securities Lending service, which we expect to occur second quarter next year.” – Charles DeSimone, SIFMA For more information on the SIFMA-led working group and the industry coordinated conversion plan, please visit Planning for Fedwire’s Expanded ACAP Service – SIFMA (Off-site). What is FRFS’ involvement with the SIFMA-led working group? FRFS has been in close communication with the SIFMA industry working group throughout their planning efforts and will continue to provide support as the industry working group plans for a future coordinated conversion date.
