Federal Reserve Financial Services is committed to providing the answers and information you need. Answers to many of our customers most frequently asked questions can be found using the links below. If your question is not answered by the information provided on the site, Contact provides a comprehensive list of service and support contacts who can assist you. Fedwire Questions What application cycle dates will be used in the testing environments? For Mondays through Fridays in the Depository Institution Testing (DIT) environment, the Fedwire® Funds Service and Fedwire Securities Service cycle date will be the current date. If you are testing on a Saturday in the DIT environment, the cycle date is the Friday before the test date. This information varies for Production Saturday’s test efforts; please refer to the Saturday production testing schedule for the appropriate cycle date. What end-of-day reports are available in the testing environments? In the DIT environment, the following reports are generated daily and available to FedLine Direct® Funds customers: Final Lterm totals and Funds Subsidiary Statements. FedLine Direct Securities customers can expect delivery of Clearing Summaries, which are generated daily, prior to the close of the testing day. All other Securities-related reports are not automatically generated; however, customers may request these reports via the Fedwire Application Test Request Form. Please note: The Wholesale Testing Service require 48 hours notice for Statement Requests Where do I find the Test Request Form? The Fedwire Application Test Request Form is available via the Operations Resources, Fedwire Services Testing and Hours section of this site on the Fedwire Services Testing Opportunities page. What “MODE” should I use for weekday and Saturday production testings? The 'MODE' field should be 'TEST' for both the weekday TEST and Saturday Production testing. What are my options for receiving messages in the testing environments? Several options for generating incoming test messages are available to your institution. These options and their characteristics are outlined in the table below. Options for generating incoming test messages and their characteristics. Source of Incoming Test Messages Characteristics Previous Day's Messages (Fedwire Funds and Securities Services) You may ask your Federal Reserve Bank Wholesale Testing Service to send you, in the testing environment, some or all of your incoming messages from a previous day's production activities. These messages contain real account information that will allow you to fully test any back-end systems. "Canned" Messages (Funds Only) You may ask your Federal Reserve Bank Wholesale Testing Service to send you a set of generic messages we have created. Sets are available that test every type of message you could receive via the Fedwire Funds Service. Because these are generic messages, however, they will not contain account information specific to your financial institution. Your institution You may send messages to yourself in the test environment in test mode. This option is available in the Production environment only on Saturdays. Other test participants While testing in any of the Federal Reserve Banks' testing environments, you may receive incoming messages from other test participants. This traffic may be unpredictable in terms of timing and types of messages. How do I coordinate testing with branches and/or affiliates served by another Federal Reserve Bank? The Federal Reserve Banks strive to avoid letting our District boundaries interfere with your ability to complete your testing. Contact your Federal Reserve Bank Wholesale Testing Service and tell them your needs.
