Testing Business Continuity Forms Resources Service Setup Home FedLine® Solutions FedLine® Solutions Setup FedLine Web® Setup FedLine Web® Setup Thank you for choosing to use the FedLine Web Solution. We are excited to work with you to make this a smooth and easy implementation. Following are the steps you will need to take to complete the process. To receive FedLine Web technical and service setup support, call the Support Center. If you have additional questions regarding this service, please contact your relationship manager. Step 1 - Review Rules and Regulations Prior to establishing FedLine Web access, your organization must be authorized to use Federal Reserve Bank Services. Use of all Federal Reserve Bank Services is governed by the applicable Operating Circulars. The terms under which an organization may electronically access these services are provided in Operating Circular 5, Electronic Access. It is each organization's responsibility to review its internal controls and procedures to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place when using FedLine® Solutions. Step 2 - Submit Certificate of Resolution and Official Authorization List To begin the FedLine Web Solution setup process, your organization must have a Certificate of Resolution and Official Authorization List on file with the Federal Reserve Banks. Step 3 - Designate End User Authorization Contacts (EUACs) Authorize at least two employees at your organization to serve as EUACs. The EUACs will be the individuals at your organization who have the authority to designate authorized individuals (Subscribers) who will transact business via a FedLine Solution. Additional detail regarding EUAC responsibilities is available on the EUAC Support Page and in the EUAC Reference Guide and Onboarding Kit, which is available via FedLine Home. To authorize an EUAC, print and complete the EUAC Designation and Authorization Form for FedLine Web-Based Services and Other Business Applications (PDF) and send the signed original to the Support Center. The form must be signed by an individual listed on your organization's Official Authorization List (OAL). When we receive the completed and signed EUAC form, a credential will be issued to the EUAC. The EUAC will use the credential to access the EUAC Center, which enables the EUAC to submit Subscriber requests, to reset FedLine Subscriber passwords and access Subscriber reports and FedLine documentation. Step 4 - Review the Hardware and Software Requirements Next, review the FedLine Web Hardware and Software Requirements. If you need assistance, call the Support Center. Step 5 - Request Access for Subscribers The Federal Reserve Banks use credentials to control access to Federal Reserve Bank Services and applications. Based on the access levels selected, Subscribers will be issued the appropriate credentials. To obtain credentials for Subscribers, an EUAC must submit a Subscriber request via the EUAC Center within FedLine Home for each individual who will be authorized to access a FedLine Solution. To determine which services and applications your organization may need and the corresponding Subscriber access levels, please review the Subscriber Access Level Descriptions. Step 6 - Schedule a Production Date Once your EUAC forms are received, a representative from the Support Center will call one of your EUACs to finalize the sign-up process and establish your organization's production date. Step 7 - Install Java browser plug-in (FedImage® Retrieval Users Only) Subscribers accessing FedImage Retrieval services need to install a compatible Java browser plug-in, as noted in the FedLine Web Hardware and Software Requirements. Step 8 - Receive Credentials Once a Subscriber's credential is created, the Subscriber and the requesting EUAC will receive the credential components and instructions via email and/or express mail service. If a Subscriber is issued a certificate, he or she will need to follow the certificate retrieval procedures found in the FedLine Web Certificate Guide (PDF) to download the certificate from a website to the Subscriber's computer. If a Subscriber is issued a FedLine security token, the token client software provided by the Federal Reserve Banks must be installed on each personal computer (PC) that will be used to access FedLine Web. Step 9 - Export or Remove a Certificate (Certificate Users Only) In addition to downloading the certificate to his or her computer, a Subscriber is also advised to export the certificate and store it in a secure location. This step will ensure that the certificate is readily accessible for use by the Subscriber in a contingency situation. Procedures for exporting certificates can be found in the FedLine Web Certificate Guide (PDF). Please note that certificate information must be kept secure. To remove a certificate from a Subscriber's computer, follow the removal instructions in the FedLine Web Certificate Guide (PDF). Step 10 - Congratulations! You can now begin using FedLine Web.
