Sophia Roman
Senior Director & Lead Counsel, Emerging Technology, Walmart Inc
Sophia Roman is a seasoned legal executive with deep expertise in privacy, emerging technologies, and digital safety. As Lead Counsel at Walmart Inc., she advises on complex legal and regulatory issues across AI, immersive platforms, and emerging technologies, and leads enterprise-wide initiatives focused on children’s privacy and COPPA compliance. She holds a J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science from UC Davis. Sophia is an active member of several legal associations, including the San Francisco Bar Association and the Queen’s Bench Bar Association of the San Francisco Bay Area and is committed to advancing safe, inclusive digital environments for families and children.
