BFS is not currently accepting new lockbox requests.    BFS Announces the Selection of JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. as the Financial Agent for the General Lockbox The Financial Agent Selection Process (FASP) for the General Lockbox Network (GLN) has concluded.  BFS has selected and designated JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., as its financial agent and sole provider of General Lockbox services to federal government agencies. On March 25, 2025, the President signed Executive Order (EO) 14247.  The EO 14247: Modernizing Payments To and From America’s Bank Account, directs, among other orders, that all payments made to the federal government be made electronically to the extent permitted by law, and to eliminate the need for Treasury’s physical lockboxes. BFS understands that some agencies will continue to require lockbox services while implementing EO 14247 and BFS will work with agencies to transition approved cashflows from U.S Bank to JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. by April 2, 2027.   Someone from the transition team will be contacting agencies in the coming weeks to confirm the agency’s continued need for lockbox service and discuss the future of the agency’s lockbox cashflow(s).  If approved to continue receiving General Lockbox services, we will require the agency’s assistance to complete the transition to the new provider.   Further, due to EO 14247, we’ll be implementing efficiencies into lockbox processing.  Changes may be needed in the services agencies currently receive, or with the remittances agencies use.  The GLN team, U.S. Bank, and JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. will be working together with agencies on timing to ensure a seamless and successful transition.   WHERE YOU CAN ADDRESS QUESTIONS: If you have any questions or require additional information, please do not hesitate to contact us at GLN2025FASP@fiscal.treasury.gov.    Need Help?
