(Français à suivre) This weekend, Merck Canada was proud to once again support Le Week-end pour combattre le cancer, an event filled with purpose, energy, and community spirit.
A delegation of Merck colleagues took part by walking and cycling in support of the Segal Cancer Centre at the Jewish General Hospital, helping raise awareness for innovative cancer research and care.
We’re always grateful for the chance to be part of a meaningful community event. Thank you to everyone who joined in and made this weekend one to remember!

Cette fin de semaine, Merck Canada a été fière de soutenir encore une fois Le Week-end pour combattre le cancer, un événement rempli de sens, d'énergie et d'esprit communautaire.
Une délégation de collègues de Merck y a pris part en marchant et en pédalant en soutien au Centre du cancer Segal de l'Hôpital général juif, contribuant ainsi à sensibiliser le public à la recherche et aux soins novateurs en oncologie.

(Français à suivre) Last month, Merck Canada colleagues showed up for Push For Your Tush in cities across the country. Some ran the 5K, some walked it, and many were just there to cheer, hand out water and keep the energy up.
Colorectal cancer is still a hard subject for a lot of families to talk about, and that silence can cost time that matters. Events like this help chip away at that stigma, one conversation at a time, and remind people that screening isn't something to put off or feel awkward about.
Thank you to everyone on our teams who ran, walked, volunteered or simply came out to support.

Le mois dernier, des collègues de Merck Canada se sont mobilisés pour Bougeons pour le côlon dans plusieurs villes du pays. Certains ont couru le 5 km, d'autres l'ont marché, et plusieurs étaient simplement là pour encourager et distribuer de l'eau.
Le cancer colorectal demeure un sujet difficile à aborder pour bien des familles, et ce silence peut coûter un temps précieux. Des événements comme celui-ci aident à briser ce tabou, une conversation à la fois et rappellent que le dépistage n'est pas quelque chose à repousser ou à voir comme gênant.
Merci à tous ceux et celles qui ont couru, marché, fait du bénévolat ou simplement été présents.

(Français à suivre) We were proud to bring a Merck Canada delegation to the 2026 BIO International Convention — the world’s largest and most comprehensive biotechnology gathering. It is also a place where the global life sciences community comes together around a shared purpose: improving lives through innovation.
BIO is always an important moment to reconnect, exchange ideas, and strengthen relationships across the ecosystem. This year was especially energizing, with a full schedule of bilateral meetings and meaningful conversations with delegations from the Ontario, Manitoba, and Nova Scotia governments.
We were also pleased to visit Merck Research Labs, which showcased our research in immunology and efforts to help advance precision medicine. That scientific foundation continues to shape how we think about innovation, partnership, and the future of patient care.
Our team left San Diego feeling inspired by the momentum, collaboration, and shared ambition across the sector.

Nous étions fiers de compter sur une délégation de Merck Canada au congrès international BIO 2026 — le plus important et le plus vaste rassemblement mondial du secteur des biotechnologies, où la communauté internationale des sciences de la vie se réunit autour d’un objectif commun : améliorer la vie des gens grâce à l’innovation.
BIO est toujours une occasion précieuse de tisser des liens, d’échanger des idées et de renforcer les relations au sein de l’écosystème. Cette année a été particulièrement stimulante, avec un calendrier bien rempli de rencontres bilatérales et d’échanges enrichissants avec des représentants des gouvernements de l’Ontario, du Manitoba et de la Nouvelle-Écosse.
Nous avons également eu le plaisir de visiter les laboratoires de recherche de Merck, où nous avons découvert nos travaux en immunologie et les efforts déployés pour faire progresser la médecine de précision. Cette base scientifique continue d’orienter notre façon d’aborder l’innovation, les partenariats et l’avenir des soins aux patients.
Notre équipe a quitté San Diego inspirée par l’élan, la collaboration et l’ambition commune qui animent l’ensemble du secteur.

(Francais à suivre) Last week, Merck was proud to support and attend the 3rd Annual Early-stage Lung Cancer International eXpert Retreat (ELIXR26) in Montreal, held in collaboration with the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) and the Centre Hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM).
Bringing together international experts across disciplines, #ELIXR26 focused on current challenges, knowledge gaps, and ideas that can meaningfully improve outcomes for patients with early-stage lung cancer. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn and contribute to that progress.

La semaine dernière, Merck était fière de soutenir et d’assister à la 3e Retraite d’eXperts internationaux sur le cancer du poumon à un stade précoce (ELIXR26) à Montréal, tenue en collaboration avec le Centre universitaire de santé McGill (CUSM) et le Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM).
