She was appointed by the Ontario Teachers’ Federation and the Ontario Government, the Plan’s two sponsors. Cathy has been a valued member of the Board since 2019 and currently serves as Chair of the People & Compensation Committee and as a member of the Investment and Enterprise Risk Committees. She brings deep financial services, governance and leadership experience from a 32-year career at BMO Financial Group, where she most recently served as Treasurer. Cathy will succeed Steve McGirr, who will remain Board Chair until he retires from the Board at the end of 2026 after completing his full term. We thank Steve for his continued leadership and look forward to working with Cathy as she transitions into the role over the coming months.
