Thank you for bringing together such an engaged community. I'm grateful to my fellow panelists, Najat Khan, PhD, and Mani Mohindru, our moderator, Shikha J., and Erika Smith for organizing such a wonderful event. As a healthcare investor, I've had a front-row seat to AI's rapid evolution over the past few years. What has become increasingly clear is that AI is no longer simply accelerating drug discovery—it is transforming how we discover, develop, evaluate, and ultimately deliver healthcare. One theme that resonated throughout our discussion is that the winners won't simply have the best AI models. They'll combine deep scientific expertise, high-quality proprietary data, and a clear path to clinical impact. AI is an incredibly powerful enabler, but biology remains the ultimate test. The opportunity ahead is enormous. I believe we're only at the beginning of a new era where AI and biology will increasingly converge to improve patient outcomes and redefine the future of healthcare. Thank you again to everyone who attended. I left the event even more optimistic about what's ahead for our industry! Biotech CEO Sisterhood 12,596 followers 2d The next generation of biotech leaders will be bilingual — fluent in biology and fluent in AI. Not one or the other. Both. That was the headline of a discussion this week convened by the Biotech CEO Sisterhood and Deloitte on AI in life sciences and healthcare, moderated by Shikha J. with panelists Mani Mohindru, Cheryl Kuai, Ph.D, CFA, and Najat Khan, PhD. Three takeaways: 1. This is not a tools upgrade. It's a structural shift in how the industry discovers, develops, and decides. Every biotech leader now needs to understand where this technology is going. 2. The industry will always need scientists. But they will operate differently, moving from producing and managing data to interrogating it. That skill, not the data itself, is the new advantage. 3. In silico data is now table stakes. Every company will have it. Building the path from in silico to validated asset is what makes it meaningful. The leaders building this fluency now won't just adapt to the next era of biotech. They'll define it. Thank you to our panelists and to the Sisterhood members in the room. Thank you to Biotech CEO Sisterhood members Julia Owens, Erika Smith, Cristina Larkin, Christine D. Baker, and Abigail Jenkins. Plus Deloitte's Mike Kellert, CPA, MBA, Michael Lombardo, and Jeff Ellis. #BiotechCEOSisterhood #BiotechLeadership #AIinLifeSciences 15 Like Comment Share Sixty Degree Capital reposted this Cheryl Kuai, Ph.D, CFA 3w Report this post We're excited to share the launch of Bionyra and its $165M oversubscribed Series A financing. Bionyra was created to advance next-generation biologics that aim to deliver longer-acting, deeper, and more durable responses for patients living with autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. A tremendous execution by the Parabilis team and a powerful validation of the breadth and potential of the Helicon platform. Excited to see Helicon continue to be applied in new and differentiated ways across therapeutic areas. Parabilis Medicines 19,247 followers 2mo Today, Parabilis Medicines announced a strategic research collaboration with Regeneron Pharmaceuticals to discover and develop multiple therapeutic candidates based on our Helicon peptide platform, with a particular focus on Antibody-Helicon Conjugates (AHCs), a novel class of therapeutics designed to target challenging and historically “undruggable” proteins. The collaboration combines Regeneron’s capabilities in genetics, antibody engineering, and biologics development with Parabilis’s expertise in developing Helicons capable of engaging intracellular targets not well suited to traditional small molecule binding. The collaboration is designed to explore the use of Helicons both as standalone therapies and as part of AHCs across multiple therapeutic areas. NST-628 demonstrated 38% ORR and 85% disease control rate as monotherapy in early Phase 1 data, in a setting with significant unmet need—NRAS/BRAF class II/III melanoma. Excited to see this promising molecular glue continue to advance and reach more patients! Huge congratulations to Darrin Miles; Klaus Hoeflich; Philip Komarnitsky; Tanja Stephanie Weber and the entire Nested Therapeutics team. What a milestone! If you’re at #AACR next week, please stop by their presentation! Nested Therapeutics 8,187 followers 3mo We are excited to share encouraging preliminary Phase 1 clinical data for NST-628, our novel, fully brain-penetrant, pan-RAF/MEK molecular glue, ahead of our poster presentation at the 2026 AACR Annual Meeting in San Diego. Two years after introducing NST-628 in the New Drugs on the Horizon session at AACR, alongside its publication in Cancer Discovery, we are now beginning to see the first clinical evidence of translation from a rigorous preclinical foundation. While we anticipated broad anti-tumor activity across RAS/MAPK-driven cancers, we are particularly encouraged by early evidence of durable responses in patients with NRAS-mutant and BRAF Class II and III melanomas – a population representing approximately one-third of cutaneous melanoma patients and for whom no approved targeted therapies exist following progression on immunotherapy. These data represent an important step toward addressing a persistent therapeutic gap. We extend our deepest gratitude to the Nested Tx R&D team, investigators and, most importantly, the more than 60 patients who made this moment possible. Dr. Ahmad A. Tarhini of Moffitt Cancer Center will present the full dataset on Monday, April 20 (Section 51 │ 2:00-5:00 PM PT │ Abstract CT129).
