How the Coursera and Udemy combination will impact Coursera learners

As of May 11, 2026, Coursera and Udemy are now one company, but we remain separate platforms for the time being.
Today, there are no changes to your experience on Coursera.
Over time, we plan to provide access to more courses and personalized, AI-powered learning experiences to help you build the right skills for your career.
When we introduce changes, we’ll communicate them clearly in advance so you know exactly what to expect. You can adjust your notification preferences to stay informed about future updates.

How can I stay informed about future updates?
To sign up for email updates:
Go to your Settings.
Go to Communication Preferences.
Check the box next to “Weekly notifications about promotions, new courses and programs, and special events.”
Click Save.
Will there be any subscription or pricing changes on Coursera?
As of today, there are no changes to subscriptions or pricing on Coursera. 
Will I still have access to my courses, content, and subscription on Coursera?
Yes. You’ll continue to have access to:
Any courses (or other learning content) that you’ve enrolled in.
Any certificates you’ve earned.
Your active subscriptions.
Will I get access to Udemy content if I have a subscription on Coursera? 
Not yet. Coursera and Udemy will continue to operate as separate platforms for now. If you’re interested in subscribing to Udemy, visit https://www.udemy.com/personal-plan.
You can adjust your email communication preferences to stay informed of future updates.
Will Coursera and Udemy become one platform?
Today, there are no changes to either the Coursera or Udemy platform.
Over time, you’ll begin to see expanded access to a broader, combined catalog across our platforms, along with a suite of AI-powered tools and experiences to help you build the right skills to grow your career.
We’ll share updates as changes are introduced, so you know what to expect.
Will the courses or content on Coursera change?
No. There are no changes to the content on Coursera today, and we’ll continue to expand our catalog to deliver learning content that helps you build the latest, career-relevant skills.
What happens to my data and privacy?
Your privacy and data protections remain unchanged. 
We continue to follow the same Privacy Policies and safeguards to keep your information secure.
Will my account or login change?
No. Your Coursera account and login information remain the same. 
Will there be any changes to my Degree program? 
No. Your Degree program will continue as planned.
You can access your courses, assessments, and support, just as you do today. 
Will anything happen to my certificates or account history? 
No. You will continue to have access to the certificates you’ve earned, as well as your course progress and achievements. 
I have both a Coursera and Udemy account. Can I merge them?
Not at this time. Coursera and Udemy accounts, as well as the platforms, will continue to operate separately for now. 
You can keep using both accounts as you do today. If we introduce ways to connect or merge accounts in the future, we’ll share details and make the process simple and secure.
How does this affect my organization’s learning program?
If you’re part of an organization’s learning program, your program is not affected today. You still have access to the same catalog of learning content.
